Herne
An old village that grew. The core around the church and the mill has older cottages with tight frontages, low doorways and limited standing; the modern development around it has driveways and turning space. Two quite different days within a few hundred metres.
Broomfield and the lanes
Further out the properties scatter. Single-track lanes in places, high hedges that leave nowhere to pull in, few passing places, and gateways built for a farm vehicle rather than a Luton. Nothing out here is quoted without driving the approach first — it costs nothing and it prevents the one outcome that genuinely stops a move.
Hoath, Marshside and the levels

The Thanet Way
The A299 runs along the top of the patch and links to the M2, which makes this side of CT6 the quickest place to start a long move from — quicker than the seafront, where the first fifteen minutes go on getting out of the town. Moves continuing abroad are on European removals.
